About Me

HR Professional, Business Coach, and Career Coach in Cupertino, California

Bini Mathew is an HR professional with over 15 years of experience in multiple disciplines of HR ranging from talent management to HR Business Partnering and everything in between. While she started her career in plant biology and research, she soon found her inner calling in working with human minds and its innate complexity in the organizational context. One take away from her former calling is her love for analysis and reasoning that helps her to make pragmatic decisions and understand business objectives and strategy.

She started her HR career in Bangalore, India in late 90’s but soon moved across the globe and finally has settled in Silicon Valley and has spent the last 10+ years of her HR Career here. A lifelong learner, she likes to unwind by curling up on the bed with her favorite book or kindle or else spends time with her family. Her husband shares her love for books and is still trying to get her to be more organized. Her two boys find her old fashioned, but she vehemently denies it by taking part in the Pokémon hunts with them.

She is a tech lover and supporter of Kickstarter campaign and owns multiple gadgets but at the end of the day still depends on her Levenger notebook to keep her sanity and creativity flowing. While not a sports buff she did manage to complete a half marathon and is currently preparing for her next one.

Bini holds a Masters in Human Resource Management from Golden Gate University and a Graduate Certificate in Executive and Professional Coaching from UT Dallas. She is also a Certified HR Professional and holds, SPHR, GPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications. She is also a professional member of NCHRA, SHRM, ICF and World at Work. She blogs at hrmagpie.com
